Help - The Fatkin Effect Empty Help - The Fatkin Effect

Post by BalistaWorm Mon Apr 09, 2012 6:29 pm

Hello everyone....

I'm sorry if I'm asking about this rudely....

Well about fatkin effect... I just want to know how to add the "bouncy exploding" effect to any weapon projectile...

Is fatkin strike a cluster?... but they have two weapon projectile/container? (I usually refer on default weap tweak to copy their properties)

ContainerResources href="kWeaponFatkins"/>
ContainerResources href="kWeaponFatkinsFood"/> ???

So, I when i test...

NumBomblets>2
BombletMaxConeAngle>0.23
BombletMaxSpeed>0.3
BombletMinSpeed>0.3
BombletWeaponName/>kWeaponFatkinsFood or kWeaponFatkins (assume i just use one of them at time)

I do it on bazooka and homing missile... but it will crash the game....

So, any help and explanation I really appreciate...

In case you didn't notice, the fatkin strike has a line called
Code:
<BounceFx>WXP_Wep_Fatkins</BounceFx>
That is the line that puts an effect when it bounces on the ground. Hopefully that is the "bouncy exploding" thing you're talking about.

That just changing the bounce fx (visual effect) only.... it doesn't create any damage when bounce....

What I really mean is... every bounce will do damage (when hit ground or something and it doesn't donate)....

EDIT:

Search on youtube = worm 4 mayhem weapon tweak..... not the update one... (sry.. I cant post link yet.. x.x)

I want same as the hammer attribute.... No. 2 Homing missile bomblet = bouncy hammer explode on contact and bounce again...... :bounce:

Any idea how he did that?...

Oh that. Yeah it makes a cluster everytime it bounces, that is how it is done.
It works like this, Main weapon creates cluster, and every time that cluster hits the ground it creates a new cluster of the same cluster therefore creating an infinite bouncing/producing weapon. Just don't put to many bomblets or it will crash the game. Having only one cluster is actually decent, because then it would be like there is only one projectile the whole time. Very Happy

As for your code, I'm not sure if you left the < out at the beginning on purpose or not because of what happens to the code on the forum if you did put it in.
Btw, next time you post a code use the [code] tags not the [quote] tag.

No wonder the fatkin have two weapon container... there was no bouncing exploding effect to begin with.... their were just a cluster too...

Oh bout the code line... the "<" was deleted on purpose if not it cant be visible in a post...

I did on quote tag because I was trying on error.... didn't notice the code tag... Sry-sry hahaha

and thx a lot! This really break the chain of my mind... :bom:
