Here is editor that will allow you to change your schemes in user friendly interface.
You do not need to edit Local.xml with notepad anymore for getting nice custom schemes.

Yeah, seems to be only for default ones. I think you can add your own by tweaking Local.xml but I'm not so sure.
Been a long time since I did it, but I will check it out and let you know.
