Scripting:Not verry talented haha.
Map making:hmm..never done,but i know how it's made
Modeling:Yes,i guess i can help into that.I just can't find a way to import the models from 3ds max or blender into w4.
Hud making:Yes!Here i can help you totally.
Landscape texturing:Yes of course!The same as HUD ,i will start modifying the textures.

Soo,i can help you guys Smile,please dont start making something before we know.I would like to know what everybody does.
some of us ,could work on hud/texturing ,and i would like to be one of them. and i would also like to work on modeling+maps,but less because i dont know too much.
So,we are active guys,worms4 is old,LET'S MAKE THE "PROJECT",and make it NEW again!(i loved those old days,when i was playing worms online,and laughing so hard when they were disconnecting because i was making the icarus bug ahaha(noob) haha.
For HUD/TEXTURING->Who's with me?.|--} we will divide the project.first tell me what is your idea.
For Modeling/Maps->Who's with me?. |--}Tell me if you can find a way to import the damn models into worms4.

I'm almost finished with the HUD, I'll post some pictures shortly for this i edited kilburn's havoc HUD (with his permission of course) and gave it color, more clairity, while keeping the cartoon style. i just need someone to do the menues and frontend to match the style. as for the models, i'm waiting on alex to do his part on making an exporter/importer for maya. with that i will be able to import higher quality models into the game, which includes weapons, the worms, customisation items, etc

Can I see the hud?

One thing that needs to be discussed is what are the themes going to be.

Current thoughts/ideas for themes
Snow
Lava/Hellish (I'm not up for this one that much)
Jungle or Forest
Desert
Underwater (if possible to make it look like that)
Water
Sky/cloud
Space
Cyberspace
City/town/village (not construction)
Underground (same as underwater)
Tiny/Giant
Grassland/flatland (doesn't seem that interesting atm)
A theme from another video game

Yeah, I said almost everything, but feel free to say any more ideas.

Yes snowy,i'm waiting to see the hud.if it looks nice,i will start making the menu's and stuff for it.Smile,if Alex,is gonna make the importer it would be awesome.Lets just start with the easy things.I will start retexturing the game also,when your hud is finnished Smile.....hey Fireworm,what themes are you talking about?..

As in new themes to make. Since we will be making new maps we can make new themes right?
Apparently AB knows how to make more then just the default textures in game, I sent him a PM on the T17 forum but he hasn't visited back since. Which was, a few months ago.

Edit: Just sent a message to him about it on his site.

By the way,what do you use guys to create the maps?W3DEDITOR ?,or we can make maps in Maya/3dsMax/Blender ?
Can't we just use blender to do all the maps and stuff?..or only 3ds or maya

I make my maps with 3DEditor. One of the team 17 staff said they made their maps with Maya and scripts to do the rest. So it might be possible to use Maya.

Worms 4 maps are in xan format and their heightmap is hmp.

I couldn't find any exporter/importer (plugin) of xan for Maya.

No Fear will join later also. We should get organized. So, Snowy will be working on Hud, Draven also wants to work on graphics ? That means I and Fireworm will be tweaking and similar. I will also work on HUD ,and graphics .But i must see snowy's hud.I'll help him if he wants.By the way..for the weapon panel,we will create new weapons..so i think it would be nice to add the new weapons looking into the panel.After we import all the weapons i will remake the hud(weapons panel) and add the new weapons into it.,No Fear is kinda busy with the exams,but will join us soon,he is my friend Very Happy.Merry X-mas.
